Jazz Festival & Clinic

We look forward to hosting you at the 2nd Annual Walter Reed Jazz Festival & Clinic. Our mission is to provide an experience where all big bands and combos will have the opportunity to play on stage, receive a clinic, and watch a professional level performance. The special  guest performance this year will be UCLA’s Herbie Hancock (formerly Thelonious Monk) Institute Jazz Combo. At the end of the event we will have an awards ceremony where groups are honored with plaques, certificates, and ratings.

This is a non-competitive event put on for the sole purpose of jazz education from the novice to advanced levels. If you are a very competitive group, this is a great opportunity to receive feedback and ratings before April and May from people who judge many of the most competitive festivals. If you are a non-competitive group, this is a great opportunity to share your music with a supportive audience and receive feedback from professional educators that will bring you to the next level.
